Cornell Leadership Program: Learn the skills needed to get a job doing what you'll love! For youth interested in working with children in a sports setting. Learn some skills in coaching, leading and mentoring as well as applying these skills in a practical setting. Youth interested in volunteering with City of Toronto: Scarborough District Summer Camps Youth must attend a Camp Volunteer Workshop. This intensive training program is designed to help youth 13+ years to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to volunteer in any one of our summer camps. A volunteer t-shirt will be given to all participants. A few of the topics that will be covered include: program planning, ages and stages of child development, games, songs, arts and crafts, group dynamics and communication skills. Participants who have successfully completed this workshop may be eligible for 40 hours of volunteer service. Placement locations are not guaranteed and will depend on demand.
